Megan Pozzi
Megan Pozzi is an award-winning educator, public speaker, business owner and researcher with 15 years’ experience in the Education Sector. She is currently Director (Student Enquiry and Advising) at University of Southern Queensland where she is responsible for inbound and outbound multi-channel contacts; Orientation and transition; and internal student communications and events.
She is passionate about student partnership and creating positive cultures of learning and has significant leadership experience in the development and implementation of whole of institution strategies and initiatives.
Megan’s career highlights include studying Entrepreneurship at MIT; speaking at TEDx; having 345 thousand views of her “Three Minute Thesis” and being shortlisted for an Australia Post Online Retail Industry Award.
Megan serves on the Editorial Board for the Journal of the Australia and New Zealand Student Services Association and facilitates a range of professional development opportunities for Student Services Practitioners focussed on translating their practice into publications for a wider audience.
A former high school drama and English teacher, Megan’s approach to her career has been one of “Yes and!” and has seen her move from roles in the creative industries, to IT project management, to academia, to service management, to business ownership, to senior leadership roles.
She prioritises relationships, curiousity, fun and diligence in all she does. Her work leading student-centric initiatives in the higher education sector has been featured in academic publications, on ABC News and Radio, and in the Australian Women’s Weekly.
In her spare time she enjoys running, live music, spending time with her two beautiful children, and good food and drink.
