
Megan Pozzi is an award-winning educator, public speaker, business owner and researcher with 15 years’ experience in the Education Sector. She is currently Director (Student Enquiry and Advising) at the University of Southern Queensland where she is responsible for inbound and outbound multi-channel contacts; orientation and transition; and internal student communications and events.
She is passionate about student partnership and creating positive cultures of learning, with significant leadership experience in developing and implementing whole-of-institution strategies and initiatives.
Megan’s career highlights include studying Entrepreneurship at MIT; speaking at TEDx; reaching 345,000 views with her “Three Minute Thesis”; and being shortlisted for an Australia Post Online Retail Industry Award.
She serves on the Editorial Board for the Journal of the Australia and New Zealand Student Services Association, and regularly facilitates professional development opportunities for Student Services Practitioners, helping them turn practice into publication.
A former high school drama and English teacher, Megan’s “Yes and!” philosophy has taken her from creative industries to IT project management, academia, service management, business ownership and senior leadership.
She prioritises relationships, curiosity, fun and diligence in all she does. Her student-centric work in higher education has been featured in academic publications, on ABC News and Radio, and in the Australian Women’s Weekly.
Outside of work, Megan enjoys running, live music, time with her two beautiful children, and sharing great food and drink with others.
